Easter!

This year we spent Easter Sunday with our community group and other friends from church. We had so much fun and were so excited to spend time fellowshipping with them. Our friends, Lucas and Sam Henderson, opened their home to us and were an excellent host/hostesses.

All of us girls made tons of food which gave us a fun spread to choose from.

The dessert table was beautiful with all the fun cakes and cupcakes, plus various drinks.

We brought eggs for the kids to have an Easter egg hunt. I was so excited to take Abigail on her very first egg hunt! The guys all had fun hiding the eggs, then almost everyone came outside to watch the kids search all over for the brightly colored eggs.

Abigail loved her little Easter basket! She liked holding the purple handle.
I think I'm a little more excited about the hunt than she is though! Ha!

Abigail was intrigued by her pretty eggs.
Our whole group, minus sweet Mrs. Warren, who is taking the picture.
Our whole community group! We sure love these people!
Sweet preggo Jenny and I. They find out this week what their baby is. We're all so excited for them!
My sweet hubby, Kyle, Mike (holding Abigail, whom he put to sleep, yay!!!) and his wife, Becky, and Lucas with his dog, Maggie.

Mike had the magical touch with Abigail and put her right to sleep. She definitely doesn't do that with everyone so it was so sweet to see!
This is the sweetest picture ever of Jason and Jenny as they excitedly feel their baby kicking! :-D

Abigail is 5 Months Old

It's hard to believe that today my sweet baby girl is 5 months old! She is growing by leaps and bounds and has been showing so much personality as she interacts with us each day!

Milestones:
*Rolling over
*Sitting up (with assistance, i.e. couch, soft chair, our laps)
*Wants to touch EVERYTHING
*Loves bright colors
*Super alert to surroundings
*Loves to watch other children play
*LOVES to jump!!!
*Reaches for toes and feet
*Reaches for our face, eyes, nose, and mouth
*She gives big, wet, slobbery kisses... they are SO cute! (Or maybe she's just trying to eat our faces! haha)
*She does a "bashful" grin into my shoulder when people talk to her sometimes. It's so cute!
*Super social (from my arms) with others around her
*Rides in the "big kid seat" in a grocery store buggy

She is such a ham now! When we talk excitedly to her she breaks into a huge grin and squeals. She loves to laugh at herself while jumping in her jumperoo too. She thinks it's really fun! She thrives on praise too! One night we sat on the couch chatting while she was in her jumperoo. She kept getting fussy and was crying but every time she saw us look over and talk to her she would break into a huge grin and start bouncing away. As soon as we turned our heads to resume our conversation, the tears and fussiness would ensue. She did this multiple times and we ended up laughing at how manipulative she is starting to be. Definitely something that we will have to work on in the future with her! haha... It's just too cute now though.

She loves to go shopping with Mommy and she especially loves the bright dressing rooms at Old Navy! haha... I was there with her today trying on some new clothes for her and her little eyes got so big as she stared and squealed at herself in the mirror.

Here are a few other photos from our little 5 month photo shoot today. I hope you can see just a hint of her personality in them. We are always getting so many compliments on her while out about what a happy baby she is and she's always grinning at people who talk to her. (Can you tell she LOVES attention???)

Saying Goodbye...

It's always so hard!

On Sunday, after church we went to Michael and Lisa's for a bar-b-que lunch and to spend our last few hours together.
Abigail and her PopPop!

Abigail's cute new shirt that my friend made for her. Check out her blog: Freckled Pink She makes adorable stuff!
My wonderful Dad! I love him so much! :-D
Abigail loves her PopPop too!

Saying goodbye to Aunt Lisa! We had so much fun with her all week!

Getting a few last kisses and snuggles.
Adorable!

Keagan took this picture for us. He's our little "up and coming" photographer! :-)

We already miss you, Texas! Can't wait until our next visit!

Fun in the Pool

Michael and Lisa just bought a new yard pool for their boys to play in. The boys LOVE splashing in it and it's a great way for them to keep cool in the Texas heat! I've been dying to take Abigail to a pool, so we brought over a little baby pool from my parent's house and let her have fun in the water. She loves to take baths so I figured she'd enjoy a pool too. Next time, I need to bring out some toys for her to play with.

 Cute little sunhat...
 She loves the water!

Keagan and Logan wanted to join us too...
The boys playing in their pool...

While we enjoyed the water... Kyle and Michael installed new break pads on our car. I am so proud of the great job they did!

haha... Kyle didn't want Lisa to take his picture. :-)
The little boys watch everything their daddy and uncle do... they are such inquisitive and smart kiddos!
Jordan is helping them out! ;-)

This was probably one of Kyle and I's favorite days in Texas... it was so relaxing and fun and we ended it with our two families getting snow cones and eating them in the back of Michael's truck! Snow cones are an absolute must on our Texas visits! I wish we had snow cone stands in Kentucky!

A Neat Seat...

While being out at my grandparent's house, I just had to get pictures of Abigail in the same highchair that my brother and I grew up using as babies. She's still a little small for it, but it's so sweet.

We also had to get a couple pictures with her little second cousin who is about six weeks younger than her.

Before saying goodbye to my grandparents we took a few pictures with them.
I love my grandparents SO much and miss getting to spend time with them. They have provided such a godly example to us over the years!
