Happy Memorial Day!

Today we enjoyed having a wonderful family day full of yummy breakfast pancakes, feeding ducks at the pond, and shopping. Then we finished off the night with a great evening of fellowship with friends in our apartment complex while our kiddos played together in the water.

Kaitlin enjoyed napping while Abigail was busy watching the ducks...

We just loved our time together at the park. It was wonderful! We will definitely be planning more trips there this summer!

So, this is a side note, but I am SO thankful for hand-me-down clothes from friends for our girls! Today as we were preparing to go hang out with our friends I was trying to find a swimsuit that would fit Abigail, since she is growing and her 18 month suit is too small now, so I opened a box of hand-me-downs and on the very top was this adorable little pink suit. I just love it!

 Loving on sister...

Abigail playing with her little friends...
They just love this water table!
Kaitlin and her fun giraffe seat were drawing attention from the big kids!
 The little Missy in pink...
I just love this little girl!
 So silly!
Here is Kaitlin all passed out after shopping earlier today... she was such a little trooper!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day today as well!

Kaitlin Jane Roland Is Here!

We are thrilled to announce that the Lord blessed us with our second baby girl, Kaitlin Jane, on Monday, May 7th, at 1:38pm. She weighed 7lbs. 3oz. and was 20 in. long.

She is such a sweet baby girl and so far has been really laid back and super easy. We are so thankful!

Our labor and delivery went much faster with her than our first one with Abigail. God was very gracious and our experience was great! I'm hoping to post her birth story soon for y'all to read.

Abigail has been doing well with her adjustment as big sister! She loved meeting Kaitlin and was fascinated by her. She is definitely jealous at times but we are seeing her progress in being more comfortable with Mommy holding another baby. Baby steps! ;-)

Meeting Kaitlin for the first time.

So excited to hold her!

The three Roland ladies!

Sweet sister loving!

Hugs from Abigail!

Hello Due Date!

So, here we are on our due date, still awaiting our little bundle of pink joy to arrive! :-) I'm so grateful though that she is full term and will, Lord willing, be healthy and happy!

I don't have an official 40 week picture to share but a friend took this one last Friday night, so I thought I'd post it. All of us girls in the picture are due close together with daughters. So fun!

We went to the Zoo today with my parents as a fun family outing but also to get me walking to try to encourage labor. Even though we have yet to see said labor, we have some fun pictures from our day! :-)

A fun goose walked right up to us looking for food!

He was on a mission!

We got to watch the elephants being trained.

Of course we had to stop for fun family photos on the mini elephant! :-) This was our first trip to the Zoo as a family since becoming members. It was definitely a blast!

PaPop and Grammie with Abigail. So cute!

Next Kyle got to feed the giraffe a snack! What an exciting treat!

Then we had to measure ourselves next to a gorilla, just to see how we size up. :-) Kyle obviously has taller genes.

Me? Not so much... :-)

The gorillas were being pretty lazy today...

But the bears were active and giving us a little show as they played!

Diving in...

Mommy and Abigail watching the bears play.

Of course, who can resist burning energy at the fun park in the Zoo? Well, maybe us adults skipped out but Abigail sure had a blast playing! *Note the little monkey PaPop bought her that she clung tightly too and had to bring along as she played!*

She loves the little "piano keys" and the music she makes.

After the Zoo, Abigail and Grammie talked about "toes" and "feet" in the backseat.

It takes a special Grammie to kiss a little one's hot/sweaty foot!

But it sure produced giggles from one happy granddaughter!!! :-)
