A Month Of Thankfulness - Post #7
I am so thankful for the gift of health! Even though my last week was a little rough, the Lord showed His faithful healing and gave me renewed strength for this new week. Thank you, Lord!

A Month Of Thankfulness - Post #6
November 6th is my sweet hubby's birthday so I've been saving my "thankful" post about him for his special day. :-) On his birthday, a good friend graciously babysat Abigail for us so that we could go out to dinner and dessert. We had so much fun just being together and having couple time!

I am SO thankful for my wonderful husband! There are so many good things that I could say about him because he is so amazing but I know that you don't have all day to read! ;-) But I do want him to know how special he is to me... So without further ado...
Kyle, I am so very, very thankful for you! Babe, when I think about how the Lord sovereignly brought us together, chose us to walk as one before Him, created our personalities to fit so perfectly together, gave us grace and patience for one another, and how He continues to grow our love with each day, I am blown away and humbled by His design and plan! I am so richly blessed and privileged to call you my husband! You are such a joy to serve and I respect you so much!

I love how much fun you are!! In a very good way, you know how to bring out the "kid in me" and every time we erupt into laughter or giggle in delight, I fall more in love with you!
You are such an amazing Daddy! Abigail loves you so much and it is so wonderful to watch her little face beam when she sees you walk into a room or when you lay on the floor and play with her! Your gracious, loving, and tender heart towards her will be something she cherishes as she grows up! You are very real with her and that is so important that she sees us for who we are, sinful, yet redeemed heirs of Christ!

She looks up to you (literally! Haha) and I'm so glad that she has such a wonderful, God-honoring father who will point her little heart towards Christ!
Love, thank you for pointing me to Christ as well! You take seriously your calling as husband to me and you honor me by putting me first, after Christ, in your life. (I certainly don't mean that in a prideful way but with a humbled and thankful heart!) I know better the love of Christ because of the love He has given you for me. I understand better our Father's protection for me because of your protection over me. I comprehend the forgiveness of God more fully because of the forgiveness you grant me in daily life. I see a glimpse of the Lord's absolute faithfulness in all things as I see and treasure your faithfulness towards me.
I am so wonderfully blessed by my husband, who seeks to imitate Christ as he serves, tenderly cares for, provides for, loves, corrects, guides, and cherishes his wife and babies!
Kyle, you are the love of my life! Thank you for everything! I love you!

A Month Of Thankfulness - Post #5
Today I am grateful for the Lord's protection and provision He has shown me this week. This morning I had my second episode this week of passing out. (For those of you who don't know, I have a weak vaso nerve, the main nerve that runs through our bodies, and when I experience a certain stimuli, quick intense pain, in my case, then I pass out. It's called a vasovagal syncope. It doesn't harm me, it's just something I have come to live with.) The first time it happened this week I was home alone with Abigail and Kyle quickly left work when I called him and came home to help me with Abigail while I rested. (After having one of these episodes I am usually so weak that I sleep for multiple hours.) Then early this morning I passed out again after having some intense cramping (baby is fine!). Thankfully Kyle was at home and was able to catch me before dropping to the floor. After resting for a few minutes, he helped me to bed to rest. I slept until about noon and have spent most of the afternoon and evening on the couch. Thankfully, by tomorrow, I'll be perfectly back to normal and up and going again!
I do not know why the Lord has chosen me to be someone who has this syndrome but I am so very thankful that every time I pass out the Lord protects me (and both babies... Since I've done it in both pregnancies)! His grace is always sufficient! It reminds me that I need Him to sustain my body each and every day.
I am so thankful and blessed by my husband who serves me without complaint and who lovingly comforts me during these times! He is so sensitive, patient, and gracious to me! I am one blessed wife! :-)

A Month Of Thankfulness - Post 4
Sorry I missed yesterday's post. Oops! However we had a really busy day so I will post it today. :-)
I am so thankful for my husband's job that allows us to come visit him frequently. We are able to enjoy having lunch with him some days, hanging out for a little while on other days while he sets up staging, etc... Yesterday, we were up on campus waiting to visit with our friends from Texas so we stopped in the room where Kyle was working and enjoyed watching their team of technicians setting up the stage for a conference and concert.
Kyle absolutely loves his job!! We are so grateful for the many opportunities he has to build relationships with and serve various speakers and musicians. It is fun when he comes home from work, excited about his day, and wanting to tell me all about it! It means so much to me that he has a job he loves! I know that so many husbands do not have that joy, so we are thankful to the Lord for this position!

A Month Of Thankfulness - Post #3
Tonight I am so thankful for sweet friends from Texas who came to visit Boyce College today. We were delighted that they came over for dinner and it was wonderful enjoying a "little taste of home" as we sat and talked. God has placed so many wonderful, godly people in my life over the years and this family is no exception!

A Month Of Thankfulness - Post #2
Today, I am so thankful for the gift of my little family!
Kyle is better than any husband I could have ever asked for! His loving care, protection, leadership, provision, and humility bless me each day as we grow closer together! I love my husband!!! :-)
Abigail is such a joy to us! It is so fun to be her Mommy and to watch her grow and mature right before our eyes! Her personality is just blossoming and her intense love and affection towards us make parenting so worth while!
I am thankful that our family likes to have fun! Kyle and I desire to keep our marriage "young"! There is no reason we can't be newly weds for life, right?
I am thankful that our little family is growing! We are so very excited about Baby #2 and can't wait to find out if it is a boy or girl! (Sorry for the self portrait! Picture taken at 13 weeks.)

A Month Of Thankfulness - Post #1
With the coming of the holiday season, it can be so easy to get caught up in the craziness of the festivities, cooking food, buying presents, hosting/attending parties, etc... that we miss the true meanings behind each holiday. So here on my blog, I'd like to dedicate the month of November to giving thanks for all of God's many, wonderful blessings in my life. My goal is to post each day one thing I am thankful for. It may be big, it may be small, but it will be something that God has blessed me with.
So today, for post #1, I am thankful for the fall season and the beautiful trees and foliage. It is so fun living in a state where the trees turn beautiful hues of golden yellow, orange, and red during the fall. It is my favorite season of the year!

This is the beautiful tree outside our living room window. I love opening my blinds each day to allow the happiness of this tree to infiltrate our home!

This street is across from Southern Seminary and close to Kyle's office. I just love the array of colors represented here. Just seeing them makes me crave apple cider! Mmm...
It is exciting to think that the beauty we see in these trees is but only a minuscule fragment of the beauty of God! My mind cannot fathom the holiness and intense beauty and awe that we will one day behold as we gaze upon our Savior in eternity!
Happy November 1st to your family! What are you thankful for?
